The Sudanese Americans Association of Southern Colorado (SAASoCO) is a nonprofit, community-based organization dedicated to preserving Sudanese cultural heritage, strengthening community connections, and providing humanitarian and social support locally and internationally.

We serve as a bridge between Sudanese Americans and the broader Southern Colorado community through education, collaboration, and service.

Who We Are

The Sudanese Americans Association of Southern Colorado is a nonprofit organization formed to serve the cultural, social, and humanitarian needs of Sudanese Americans while contributing positively to the broader community.

We bring together individuals and families to preserve Sudanese heritage, strengthen community ties, and promote mutual respect and understanding among diverse cultures.

Our mission is to promote Sudanese cultural heritage, foster mutual understanding, and provide meaningful humanitarian and social support while encouraging peaceful cultural exchange and cooperation within Southern Colorado and beyond.

Governance & Oversight

Board & Governance

The Association is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors responsible for fiduciary oversight, strategic direction, and compliance with applicable federal and Colorado nonprofit laws.

Board of Directors
